Coach has launched a range of celebrity-customised tote bags to be auctioned off for charity,
marking the opening of its first global flagship in Shanghai.
In celebration of its first flagship opening in Shanghai, Coach has invited over 50 international celebrities and tastemakers to customise Coach blank canvas totes.
The celebrity charity initiative, called Star Totes, is an online campaign in which
celebrities from around the world design one-of-a-kind Coach bags.
Select Coach stores in China and Hong Kong - including Harbin Yuando, Shenyang Charter, Nanjing Deji, Chengdu Isetan and its own flagships - will carry pieces for display before they are auctioned online. The auction will run from the Shanghai flagship's opening day,
April 22, until May 13.
The celebrity line-up includes Hong Kong actors Jaycee Fong, Gigi Leung and Karen Mok, Chinese actors Gao Yuanyuan and Chen Yao, Miss World 2007 Zhang Zilin, and Taiwanese singer Dee Hsu.
American actresses Jessica Alba, Lucy Liu, Eva Longoria Parker, Julianne Moore and Charlize Theron
have also put their hand to painting and designing their own totes.
